Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test results to go online this week

Exam results

After some initial kinks and hiccups, the Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE) will announce the results of the Teacher Eligibility Test online this week, reports Times of India on February 17, 2014.

The confusion and delay in results, as per MSCE, is the huge number of candidates who appeared for the interview, which took a lot of time for the assessment. The results can be checked at the official website http://www.mscepune.in.

Reason for the delay:

However, the work on the result is in the final stages, says Dilip Sahasrabuddhe, director of MSCE. He also said that finalizing the answer key, asking for suggestions, objections on the provisional answer key, and announcing the answers are also major reasons for the delay.

In addition to this, those who have Urdu medium faced the maximum number of problems due to several errors reported in the question paper itself. Therefore, the council had to reassess those papers, and that delayed the results.

The fact worth noticing here is that over six lakh candidates appeared for the paper. The number was too huge and some of the candidates even committed the mistake while writing their seat numbers and other such things. This also cost the commission considerable time to correct the anomalies.

The official announcement for the result date will be made soon. The results will be accessible online, and students need to enter their seat number to see the result with subject-wise marks.
