Compared to the Swift VXi variant of Maruti, the Magna petrol variant of Grand i10 is priced Rs 50,000 lower and the Diesel variant is priced Rs 57,000 lower than Swift’s Vdi.

The i10 compact car has sales of about 7,000 to 8,000 units and i20 about 5,000 to 6,000 units. Hyundai is hoping to bring in incremental sales of 6,000 units to 8,000 units with the Grand. An auto analyst opined that some of the i20 customers may downgrade to the new Grand i10 due to the tough scenario.

The Grand i10 has high-tech features like smart key with push button start and stop, auto folding outside mirrors, integrated 2-DIN music system with 1 GB internal memory, Bluetooth, USB and Aux-in connectivity.
