‘The Batman’ Movie Review: Gunshots And Car Chase Sequences Are Marvelous

The superhero film “The Batman” is based on Batman’s DC comic character. Ever since its release, it had many polarizing reactions. Initially, the project that Ben Affleck planned in mind with a different creative mindset was shelved, and Matt Reeves revived the same but went in another direction, aiming to explore the detective side of Batman. Nevertheless, many of us grew up reading Batman comic book editions.

Action Scenes

The action scenes in the movie stayed true to the character of Batman. However, it looked like a boy learning the ropes of combat rather than the skilled and adept fighter we saw in other films. Nevertheless, the gunshots of the exceptional car chase sequence were marvelous.

Sound

The most underrated part of the movie is the sound design. The ominous, menacing walk of Batman coming out of shadows, the engine of Batmobile roaring in the middle of the streets is just a work of art. Nirvana Something In The Way is played in the background of the teaser. This is considered a brilliant choice for the soundtrack of this film. The integration of the classic Ave Maria, a theme often played in the screenplay of the movies as an impending doom is about to take place.

The star cast of the movie

The movie is produced by DC Films, 6th & Idaho, and Dylan Clark Productions. It is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. This movie is a reboot of the Batman film franchise. The film director was Matt Reeves, who also wrote the screenplay with Peter Craig. Robert Pattinson plays the role of Bruce Wayne / Batman along with Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell.
