Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi To Visit India In March

According to the sources, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi may visit India this month. Yet there is no official announcement from the Ministry of External Affairs about this visit.

It will be the first visit after the Ladakh conflict

After the eastern Ladakh conflict 2020, this will be the first visit by senior Chinese officials. Along with India Wang is also interested in touring Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh. According to” TOI”, Wang itself proposed to visit these four nations. Kathmandu Post of Nepal reported that on March 26 Wang will arrive on the two-day tour. But his arrival date in India is not revealed yet.

Meeting of Jaishankar and Wang

There were several meetings held between Yang and Jaishankar to resolve the tension in eastern Ladakh. In Moscow, a five-point agreement prevailed to resolve the Ladakh issue. The deal includes measures such as rapid troop departure, avoiding actions that could aggravate tensions, adherence to all border management agreements and regulations, and initiatives to restore peace along the LAC (Line of actual control).

India has repeatedly maintained that sustaining peace and tranquilly along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) is critical to the overall development of bilateral relations. If Wang’s intended visit takes place, it is envisaged that the two sides will be able to exchange perspectives on Ukraine’s problem.
