Amitabh Bachchan has countered followers who mocked him for greeting them with a happy morning late on Sunday. The actor thanked fans in modest Hindi for the taunts and insults and detailed how he worked and went to sleep late, owing to the delayed greetings.
“A pleasant morning to you,” the megastar posted on Facebook (in Hindi). Since he shared this about 11:30 a.m., his admirers have begun to tease him, most in a lighthearted manner, but several with hostility and abusive behaviour.
Some of the tweets include
“Don’t you agree you greeted good morning too soon?” one jokingly remarked in Hindi. Amitabh’s response was, “I appreciate the taunt. I worked all night and woke up late, so I sent greetings. I apologise if you were offended.”
Saw this this thought of suggesting you to not to reply to them, some tweet are meant not to be replied. Else people would always reply negative things on your post thinking that they will get reply only if they post something like this. @SrBachchan pic.twitter.com/cnOfb7kXOH

While dignified, the actor was bold. One of the replies said, “Abey Buddhe dopahar ho gaye (Old guy, it’s afternoon).” The actor’s response was well appreciated by his admirers. “I pray and hope that when you grow old, no one degrades you,” Amitabh wrote.

Some people mocked Amitabh for getting up late and also went off on a digression. “I do not drink, make others drink Madhushala,” he reacted to a comment that the actor must have drunk country liquor the night before. The actor’s father, noted poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan, wrote the poem Madhushala.
Many people stood by Amitabh as he faced criticism. “People are responding as though they wake up at the Brahmamuhurtha (one hour and 36 minutes past sunrise),” one user posted. Many people praised the veteran actor’s tenacity and how, despite his age, he still tends to work all night.
Amitabh was last featured in the film Runway 34 starring Ajay Devgn too. Amongst his upcoming projects are the movie “Brahmästra,” the Tamil film “Uyarndha Manithan,” and the Kannada film “Butterfly.”
