The ‘All New HTC One,’ which had been code named as ‘M8’ has been finally made official on March 25, 2014. The new smartphone which is a sequel to last year’s HTC One is expected to compete against smartphone leaders Apple and Samsung.
Last year the HTC One had won awards for its design, features and lauded by fans for the high quality finish. However these awards did not translate into sales which is the main aim of the all new HTC One (M8).
The All New HTC One is a metal cased, 5-inch Super LCD 3 display phone with full HD 1080p (1920 x 1080) resolution and a Gorilla Glass 3 cover. The phone includes a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 processor and a 4-megapixel camera with dual lens that would support 3D shooting.
The second lens helps one decide later through built-in software about focusing on the foreground or the background and blur the rest. The video recordings can be paused instead of stopping every time like rest.
The new HTC phone with 2GB RAN and 16GB of internal storage has a 2,600 mAh battery and supports Android 4.4.2 KitKat. There is also a variant that supports 32GB internal storage and the microSD card slot supports cards of up to 128GB capacity. HTC is also offering 65GB cloud storage space on Google Drive.
HTC One (M8) is priced between $200 to $250 with a two-year service contract and $650 without a contract in US. The phone is expected to be available in India have in April 2014.
