Ezra Miller has garnered media attention for several legal battles after “The Flash” movie production closed up, making the future of the actor’s involvement in the DC Extended Universe questionable.
Ezra Miller’s Career As An Actor
The 29-year-old, who identifies as nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns, began their career in independent film with parts in the 2012 film “Perks of Being a Wallflower” and the 2008 film “Afterschool,” before experiencing mainstream popularity in 2016 with the roles of comic book superhero speedster Barry Allen in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and Credence Barebone in the Harry Potter “Fantastic Beasts” series.
According to IMDb, Miller will play the lead role in Mary Harron’s biopic “Dalland,” which is now in post-production. The actor would portray a young Salvador Dal, a surrealist artist from Spain.
But lately, Miller has received attention for many reasons.
Ezra Miller’s Alleged Offences
Miller was detained in Hawaii in March for disorderly behavior, and again in April on allegations of assault. Miller was charged with luring an activist who was 18 years old by the teenager’s parents in June.
Miller will play Barry Allen in “The Flash,” which will still be published on June 23, 2023, despite the actor’s current scandals.
As per the Hawaii Police Department, on March 27, authorities in Hawaii detained the actor after receiving a report of a disruptive patron who was allegedly shouting obscenities at a pub, grabbing a woman’s microphone, and lunging at a darts player.
Miller was accused of abuse and disorderly behavior by police after becoming “agitated” by karaoke singers.
A couple of hours later, according to police, Miller entered a couple’s bedroom and was given a temporary restraining order. The pair also charged Miller with robbing them of a wallet and passport.
A mother and her three kids have supposedly been staying at Miller’s Vermont farm, as per a June 23 Rolling Stone article. According to sources, Miller’s 96-acre land is dangerous for kids to be on. The mother, 25, refuted the allegations in an interview with the outlet.
As per a report that appeared in Variety on June 30, there are further charges against Miller, including one made by a German woman named Nadia who claims the actor assaulted her when she declined to vacate her Berlin flat in February 2022. When she requested them not to puff away inside her residence, the woman claimed to Variety that Miller’s behavior changed. She also claimed that Miller stayed until the woman contacted the police, as reported by USA TODAY.
