The T20 test series has started with a bang with the first of them played at Southampton on July 7. India beat England by 50 runs to take 1-0 lead. Two different squads have been named by the BCCI for the three T20Is. The squad that played the series against Ireland will play the first T20I against England.
In the opening game of the three-match series, Pandya powered to his 50 off 30 balls as India scored 198-8.
Rohit Sharma is back amongst the senior players of this game and has decided to take back the captaincy. He contracted Covid and was therefore ruled out for the Edgbaston Test. Rohit Sharma has won his 13th Consecutive match as T20I captain.
He was rewarded for his decision to bat first as the tourists got their revenge for their stunning test loss to England earlier this week.
