The Pradhan Mantri National Apprentice Mela is being organised on Monday, as a part of the Skill India mission, which aims to boost career opportunities and practical training.
It is being organised by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. According to the reports, 188410 applicants have participated in the Mela and 67035 have been made apprentice offers.
36 Sectors with more than 1000 companies and 500 different sorts of trade have been featured in the programme. The event is being hosted in 200 plus locations by the MSDE which gives many applicants the opportunity to shape and mold a career of their own will. The career choices have been categorized under various sectors including electrical work, housekeeping, welding, mechanic work, Beautician, and many more.

The ministry informed the sources, ” The major purpose of this program is to encourage companies to hire more apprentices while also assisting employers in discovering and developing their potential via training and practical skill sets”.
Rajesh Agarwal, Secretary of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, also added that ” We hope that the Apprenticeship Mela will provide additional job opportunities for talented individuals across the country. While the primary purpose of this program is to recruit individuals, it is important to note that Apprentices such as these are necessary for practical training, which is what we are striving for here. This had had a severe impact, as seen by the expanding number of apprenticeships and their successful execution across the country.”
About eligibility:
The ministry has informed that the candidates must have a 5th to 12th-grade pass certificate, a Skill training certificate, an ITI diploma or a graduation degree to participate in the event.
