The driver of megastar Shah Rukh Khan has been arrested on June 25, 2014, by the Bandra police on account of raping a minor.
The victim is reportedly a minor of 17 years, who worked at the house of actress Sangeeta Bijlani.
The 34-year old Rajendra Kumar Gautam, the accused, is also known as Pintu Mishra and is a resident of Andheri (East).
It is alleged that he befriended the victim with the excuse of offering her a job. She was then lured to a hotel located in Western Suburbs in Nallasopara, where the accused raped her.
The Bandra police have said that the minor had come to Mumbai a few months ago from Latur and found a job at the house of Sangeeta Bijlani.
Gautam, later on, managed to get her number and promised to give her a better job with a superstar. The duo started talking, and it has been reported that Gautam had once taken the victim to the Shah Rukh Khan’s home, Mannat.
Believing the accused, the 17-year-old left her job on June 20. It was then she was taken Nallasopara on the pretext of going to his home. He later took her to a hotel and raped her.
Gautam was later slapped charges under Section 376 (Rape) of the IPC and arrested. He is expected to be produced for further inquiry in the Sessions Court today. A medical test will be taken on the complainant, as well.
Sources reveal that the driver is just a part of SRK’s convoy and has nothing to do with the actor.
