Confirmed: Salman Khan back as Big Boss 8 host

Actor Salman Khan seems to have changed his mind after denying reports of hosting Bigg Boss 8. Because now it is now official that Salman is returning to the show once again.

Salman being back on the reality show set aside speculation that stars like Ranveer Singh, Shah Rukh Khan or Ranbir Kapoor will be hosting the show replacements. At the end of Season 7, Salman announced that he cannot host the show because of various court cases and health issues.

Seems like Salman’s shooting dates have been managed and speculation is rife that the channel has agreed to hike Salman’s fee by thirty per cent. As per sources, Salman’s new salary package is Rs 8.5 crore per episode which is the highest paid for an actor in the history of Indian television.

Word is also that Salman Khan, who has agreed to star in Karan Johar’s “Shuddhi” is charging a whopping Rs 150 crores for the movie. Salman has reportedly asked for the money from the satellite rights, the first day collection and 20 per cent of the profit that the Production will make on “Shuddhi”.

Among the “Bigg Boss 8” contestants Salman’s girlfriend Lulia Vantur is also speculated to be on the show. Some of the other names tossed around for the show are actors Evelyn Sharma, Ameesha Patel, adult star Shanti Dynamite, actor Shiney Ahuja and Kumar Vishwaas of the Aam Aaadmi Party. Colors TV show actors Tina Dutta, Rashmi Desai, Poonam Pandey and Sunil Grover are also rumoured to be offered the show.
