After measly performance in the Test format, India bounced back in ODI format. Helped by Suresh Raina’s 100 off 75 balls and Jadeja’s 4 wickets for 28, India defeated England by a huge margin of 133 runs in the 2nd ODI at Cardiff on Wednesday. England captain Alastair Cook won the toss and chose to ball first. Suresh Raina played with an exuberance and a cheerful vigour to make his first ODI century in four years. India made 304 for 6 helped by Raina 100(75 balls), Dhoni 52 (51 balls), Rohit 52 (87 balls). England’s Woakes took 4 wickets and gave 52 runs. Chasing a rain-adjusted score of 295 runs off 47 overs in reply, England were once well-placed at 54 without loss. However helped by left-armer Ravindra Jadeja’s spin and Ashwin’s bowling, England were wrapped all out in next 107 runs. They collapsed 161 all out in 38.1 overs. Jadeja bowled 7 overs taking four wickets for 28. Ashwin bowled for 9.1 overs giving 38 runs and taking 2 wickets. England’s response was dire, scoring their second-heaviest defeat against India. This victory gave India 1-0 lead in the five-match ODI series. The first match on Monday in Bristol was a washout. India found back their winning ways after losing the test series with 3-1 defeat against England. Some of the tweets that were funny
Virat Kohli scored 0. Suresh Raina scored 100. This clearly shows that Shruti Haasan is 100 times better than Anushkha Sharma. #IndvsEng — Gautam (@gautamverma23) August 27, 2014
