Gerard Piqué secretly seeing student Clara Chia Marti for ‘months’ after Shakira split

Looks like after splitting up with Shakira, ex Gerard Pique has moved on and is now in a relationship with a student who works for him.
It is unclear when the romance blossomed, during or after his separation from the ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ hitmaker. Gerard met PR student Clara Chia Marti, who is 12 years his junior while working on events at his production company Kosmos.

According to The Sun, those close to the couple say they have been seeing each other for some time. That might be a surprise for Shakira, who announced her separation from Gerard in June.

A source close to Clara told The Sun

“Gerard and Clara have been seeing each other for months. She is a student who also works for him in his office, organizing events. They have been keeping quiet about their relationship but those around them all know what is happening.”

The source added, “People have been helping him keep the romance hush-hush and have wiped Clara’s social media accounts so people can’t find photos of her. That alone makes his mates think he is actually quite serious about being with her.”

Meanwhile, Shakira first met Gerard in 2010 after he featured in the video to her song ‘Waka Waka’, released for the soccer World Cup that year. The singer has not revealed the reasons behind the split; they share two children, son Milan (born on 22 January 2013) and second son Sasha (born on 29 January 2015).

The former couple has agreed on a temporary custody agreement, despite Gerard wanting the kids to stay with him in Barcelona while Shakira wants them to relocate to Miami with her.

Before meeting the soccer player, Shakira reportedly dated Puerto Rican TV star and musician Osvaldo Rios in 1997. He was 16 years her senior.
The ‘Waka Waka’ video featured cameos by several footballers like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. It became quite popular on YouTube, and as of August 2022, the video has received more than 3.2 billion views and is the 28th-most-watched video of all time on the video streaming platform.

She is referred to as the “Queen of Latin music” and Forbes named her the top-selling female Latin artist of all time in 2018. She is also a judge on US show ‘Dancing With Myself’ alongside Nick Jonas.
