Gerard Piqué secretly seeing student Clara Chia Marti for ‘months’ after Shakira split

The singer and Spanish footballer split in June after 11 years together, although the exact reason for the sudden break up remains a mystery.

Shakira’s ex has reportedly moved on with a woman called Clara Chia Marti.

According to The Mirror she is a 23-year-old PR student who works for him and the pair have grown close since his split from Shakira.
Clara works for the footballer’s sports and media investment group Kosmos and they allegedly met whilst organising events together.

A source told The Sun that they have been dating for “months” but have been trying to keep it “quiet” following his very public split from the Columbian singer.
“Gerard and Clara have been seeing each other for months. They have been keeping quiet about their relationship but those around them all know what is happening,” the insider said.

“People have been helping him keep the romance hush-hush and have wiped Clara’s social media accounts so people can’t find photos of her.”
“That alone makes his mates think he is actually quite serious about being with her,” they continued. “She is a student who also works for him in his office, organising events.”

The Hips Don’t Lie singer and La Liga star split in early June after 12 years together.
They met in 2010 when the footballer featured in her Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) music video, which was the official song of the 2010 Fifa World Cup.

The pair instantly hit it off. However, they didn’t confirm that they were officially an item until March 29 2011, when they shared a post on social media.
Despite being in a long and happy relationship, the pair never actually made it down the aisle. In a CBS interview after her Super Bowl performance, she revealed that marriage “scares” her.

“To tell you the truth, marriage scares the s*** out of me. I don’t want him to see me as the wife. I’d rather him see me as his girlfriend,” she said.
“His lover, his girlfriend. It’s like a little forbidden fruit, you know? I wanna keep him on his toes. I want him to think that anything’s possible depending on behaviour.”

In 2012, they announced that they were expecting their first child, writing on Shakira’s website: “As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby!”

“At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned over the next few days,” she continued.

Their son Milan Piqué Mebarak, 9, was born at 9:36 pm on January 22 2013 in Barcelona, Spain and weighed 6 lbs 6 oz.
Two years later, they announced on Facebook that they were expecting another baby, writing: “Yes, we are expecting our second baby!! Thank you for all your well wishes!”

Their second son Sasha Piqué Mebarak, 7, was born on January 29 at 9:54 pm in Barcelona.
