New Renault Duster AWD 2014 Price in India: Features and Review Video

Top automobile manufacturer Renault India launched the awaited all wheel drive (AWD) variant of its SUV model Duster on Wedneday, September 24, 2014.

The new variant of Duster has been priced between Rs.11.89 lakh and Rs.12.99 lakh in India (ex-showroom-Delhi).

The two variants- RXL and RXZ- of Renault Duster AWD offers three modes, operated by dial in the console located at center.

The three modes are automatic, two-wheel drive and manual four-wheel drive. A new ‘eco’ mode has also been launched to better fuel consumption.

The new variant of Duster runs on 110PS 1.5-litre diesel coupled with ‘six-speed manual transmission’, with fuel efficiency of 19.72 kmpl.

In the looks, the headlamps are changed, alloys come in grey color, and there is the AWD badge. The instrument console has also been changed for the new Duster, along with cruise control and audio system with touch screen.

The managing director and chief executive of Renault India, Sumit Sawhney, said, “We are building a strong runway to expand our presence in India concentrating on both product expansion and enhancing the customer experience.

“We are working towards launching a couple of new vehicles in the near-future, as well as expanding our dealer network.”

Renault has mentioned that the AWD technology allows the Duster to intuitively access the path and constantly engage all wheels. With electronic torque control, Duster will have identical distribution of torque to each wheel.

A press release from the company also said that there will be six choices of colors for the new Duster.

The compact SUV from Renault has sold more than 100,000 units since it was launched in 2012.
