Struggling to Make Both Ends Meet
Hochul stated, “With this relief package, we’re keeping our promise to support hardworking New Yorkers during the national affordability crisis. “Nearly 2 million New York households who are having difficulty making ends meet in the wake of the epidemic, inflation, and other escalating expenditures will get money back in their pockets thanks to our initiative. My administration is still completely committed to increasing affordability across the state, and I appreciate the Legislature’s support in making sure that New York households receive this critical financial aid.
The Earned Income Tax Payment and the Additional NYS Child were adopted by Hochul and state legislators as a part of the Financial Year 2023 Enacted Budget. Each qualifying participant in the program will get an average payout of $270.
Stimulus Checks Will Be Mailed Automatically
Checks will automatically be mailed to eligible New Yorkers; no action is necessary on their part to receive them.
