The Nexus family of Google just got bigger with the giant introducing the 8.9-inch Nexus 9 and 6-inch Nexus 6, unveiled on October 15, 2014.

The new Nexus 9 will be manufactured by HTC, while Motorola Mobility will take on the Nexus 6 phone. Google also introduced the Nexus Player, to be manufactured by Asus, while the new Android TV has also been revealed.

Nexus 6

The three new Nexus device will be debuting on the new Android mobile operating system from Google, title Lollipop, which was earlier, named as “L”.

Both Nexus Player and Nexus 9 will be available for pre-ordering from October 17, although the official day when these gadgets hit the store is November 3. Check the official site for all the info.

Nexus Player and remote control has been priced smartly at $99. As for the 16GB version of the new Nexus 9, the price is $399. Customers will have to shell $479 for the 32GB variant, while the other 32GB version with LTE will be costing $599.

The Nexus 6 comes much later in both unlocked and locked versions with carries, and customers can pre-order the device from October 29. The 32GB version is priced at $649 unlocked, while for just some extra at $699, the 64GN version is available.

The new Nexus is Google’s entry in the phablet segment, with the model being larger than the recently launched iPhone 6 Plus from Apple and Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

The Nexus range comes from Google with an intention of offering a pure Android experience as manufacturers- Asus, HTC and Motorola- are not allowed to make any tweaks to the user interface.
