Shwetha Basu, the national award winning actress has been ruling the headline for the past two months as she got arrested in a raid accusing of prostitution.
The actress was staying in a rescue home till then, and now she is released from the shelter. The actress has now broken her silence on the controversy, and she told that the news about her statements which came in media during the time of arrest was literally wrong.
The actress told that she has never been compelled to prostitution, and she had always enough works on hand from the film field.
Earlier, many newspapers reported that Shwetha opted the way of prostitution to fulfill the needs of her family.
The actress expressed her disappointment during a recent talk with DNA, and she criticized the wrong moves of journalists to create sensation. She didn’t denied the fact that she was caught in the raid.
“I’ve no complaints against anyone except the journalist who during my hour of crisis made up a statement attributed to me. That statement was circulated everywhere.
I had no idea about it as I had no access to newspapers or websites for two months. It’s only now that I came to know of this”, the actress said in an exclusive interview to DNA.
The actress is pretty disappointed about the unhealthy journalistic approach shown by new generation reporters, and as per Shwetha, they would have waited till she is given a chance to express her views.
Shwetha Basu is infringed, and she has returned to her normal life in style. She is now busy with the works of a documentary which is related to Hindustani Classical music.
