Bollywood celebrities paid their last respects to veteran Indian actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar who breathed his last on Monday in Mumbai.
Sadashiv Amrapurkar was a famous name to reckon with, during the 80’s and 90’s of Indian Cinema, when it came to playing the role of a negative character.
His impeccable performance in Ardh Satya (1983) and Sadak (1991) won him the prestigious Filmfare awards. After which, there was no looking back for the actor as he continued his journey in the world of Hindi film, essaying the roles of negative character.
The actor whose original name is Ganesh Kumar Nawode, had adopted the stage name of “Sadashiv Amrapurkar” in 1974.
In the world of theatre, he also directed his plays where he performed and excelled in the creative business as a multi-tasker.
Reema Amrapurkar, daughter of the actor, had earlier reported the media that her father was in a critical condition and was on life support ventilator.
The actor took his last breath today on Monday 3rd of November 2014 in Mumbai. The actor was 64 years old.
The funeral was held on Monday. Most of the big names in from the Indian Bollywood fraternity were missing from the funeral.
A few of the celebrities who attended the last rites ceremony and the funeral were Raja Murad, Marathi film actress Reema Lagoo, Ramesh Bhatkar
