An administration undertaking in Coachella, California, United States, could fetch some essential monetary grants to hundreds of households in the region who are eligible.
There is a possibility of receiving a $400 payment every month for the next two years for eligible families.
The Coachella Immigrant Families Recovery Program is partnering with Mission Asset Fund to provide 140 families with cash assistance.
It is not money that needs to be repaid by the receiver, and people can choose whether to receive it into their checking account or have it loaded onto a card they would receive in the mail. Apply on the official Mission Asset Fund website.
The deadline is starting to approach though, as it falls on November 11 at 5pm. Qualifying families will begin to receive assistance in January 2023.
Mayor Steven Hernandez said, “we have developed a comprehensive universal basic income program that targets our most vulnerable residents.”
“Together with MAF, we intend to make this program successful by changing the lives of those families,” Mr Hernandez added.
