The much awaited lucky draw of Delhi Development Authority’s ‘’Housing Scheme 2014” took place yesterday, on November 25, 2014. The draw made the lucky winners ecstatic whereas the people who could not manage their luck were broken into despair.
‘’Housing Scheme 2014’’ is a flagship scheme that is offering around 25,040 flats in different categories that is spread across the national capital. Around 10,08,985 applicants applied for getting a flat in this scheme. This number is a record number in the history of this agency.

The draw was wrapped within a very short time-span of 40 days only despite of receiving so many applications. Retired Delhi High Court Justice Manju Goel and National Informatics Center DG Mahesh Chandra along with IIT Delhi professor Anshul Kumar supervised the draw.
Delhi Development Authority will hold a camp after 15 days after verifying the documents of the applicants who got selected in the draw. All the winners were elated to get their names in the lucky draw as they will be having a roof of their own over their head soon.
The allottees will be given a userid and password. They can track the record of the process of allotment through this userid and password from the DDA site. Even the allottees will be notified all the details through sms alerts and also email alerts.
The draw is really a big event for the different sector of people residing in the national capital. The scheme will provide roof over head to several people. This is really an amazing poject undertaken by the Delhi Development Authority.
