007 James Bond Daniel Craig has been chosen as the new face of Belvedere Vodka and the company announced the news on November 9.
The vodka brand recently unveiled a commercial featuring Craig’s footwork and the ad is helmed by popular director Taika Waititi. The ad starts with a crowd at the Pont Neuf bridge in Paris and it ends at the luxurious Cheval Blanc Paris hotel.
Craig can be seen dancing in the lobby and rooftop of the hotel and does not miss a single beat. He then enters his suite and discovers the vodka bottles, eventually taking a sip and continuing to dance until Waititi shouts from the other side, ‘cut.’
Craig then smiles toward the camera and takes another sip, which marks the end of the commercial. The dance steps have been choreographed by JaQuel Knight. Waititi’s current partner Rita Ora and rapper Giggs are the ones behind the soundtrack.
The 54-year-old received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Following the achievement, he joked and said that he never thought he would say it but it has been an honor for him to walk all over Hollywood. He continued,
“If happiness was measured by the company we keep, then me being on this pavement surrounded by all of these legends makes me a very, very, very happy man. So thank you very much.”
