iPhone Dominates Verizon Smartphone Business

If you get to have a closer look at the earnings numbers of Verizon for the first quarter of 2013, you would get a feel of how Apple iPhone has fared. As per the data released by Verizon, as many as 3.2 million iPhones were activated during the quarter. 

iPhone Dominates Verizon Smartphone Business which accounted for 4.3 million iPhones. That was indeed a record setting quarter for Apple when they launched the iPhone 4S.

On a global scenario too, the general assumption has been that the Apple’s iPhone sales for the first quarter this year of would be slightly down from the previous quarter, when Apple sold 37 million iPhones all over the world.

The Verizon results toes this line to the hilt. On the other hand, we have certain instances that would turn out to be favorable for an increment in sales, like the iPhone 4S launch inChina or the China Telecom expansion.

Apple, in short, continues to dominate the total smartphone business of Verizon. The network provider’s total reported smartphones sales accounts for 6.3 million, out of which iPhones are of 3.2 million, as mentioned above.
