AGT contestant Ray Singleton's wife Roslyn dies of brain cancer

Ray Singleton’s wife Roslyn Singleton died recently following a long battle with brain cancer at the age of 39. Ray disclosed the news on his social media account and wrote,

“WELL DONE!! Our wife earned her wings yesterday while peacefully sleeping right at home where she wanted to be. This road ahead is going to be INCREDIBLY long & difficult! She taught us all SOMETHING…She’s where we’re all trying to get one day so no need to be sad! Now we celebrate her legacy, her impact, her story & HER SPIRIT! She will LIVE FOREVER!! #LongLiveRos #Fu**Cancer”

Roslyn was diagnosed with brain cancer before meeting Ray. She had glioblastoma in 2013 which is a rare type of brain cancer. Roslyn became popular after Ray shared a video serenading Roslyn prior to her surgery.

Ray and Roslyn were then invited to The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2020. Her story posted by Novant Health stated that she may have contracted the problem for being exposed to toxic burn pits in Afghanistan. Roslyn also thanked everyone who supported her at this tough phase and said that when there is something going on in her life, God puts the right people in front of her to make things easier.

The pair also shared their journey with brain cancer on Instagram. Roslyn said that her problem never defeated her and Ray also inspired everyone to celebrate and said,

“I understand that God has not only given me a gift, but he’s given all of us a gift. And I am responsible for taking care of that gift. So y’all, than God for what this is.”

Ray Singleton is well-known for his appearance in America’s Got Talent Season 16. The North Carolina native was eliminated in the Deliberations. He performed on piano and Andy Grammer’s song I Am Yours during his audition, which was also a tribute to Roslyn. His performance was praised by the judges panel after which he managed to reach the next round.
