Don’t panic if you forgot to submit your application for the Chicago Resiliency Fund 2.0 program. Chicago Department of Family & Support Services has extended the application deadline for Chicago stimulus checks. The application deadline for the relief check has been extended to December 31.
Stimulus Payments
Under the Chicago Resiliency Fund 2.0, Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot and the Department of Family & Support Services have allotted $14.68 million to assist. Up to 25,500 individuals are anticipated to benefit from the initiative. Initially, December 9 was the cutoff date for applications for the Chicago relief checks.
The deadline was postponed to December 31 by the Department of Family & Support Services last week. A one-time $500 payment will be sent to eligible beneficiaries.
The Resiliency Fund 2.0 in Chicago attempts to assist those who did not get COVID-19 stimulus cheques. The money can be spent on whatever the recipient pleases.
Residents must be above 18 and have incomes under 300 percent of the federal poverty threshold to be eligible for the aid.
The minimum income, for instance, is $40,770 for a family of one. To learn more about the eligibility requirements, go to this link. Additionally, candidates must be illegal immigrants, domestic workers, or have paid 2019 taxes and identified a dependent who is 17 years of age or older.
Residents must fill out the form online to register for the program. A lottery will be used to choose the winners. The department will deny duplicate applications, which will only accept one application per household.
