An Ayodhya seer has called Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan a ‘jihadi’ and threatened to burn him.
The seer vented his anger over Deepika Padukone’s saffron-colored outfits in the song ‘Besharam Rang’ in the film ‘Pathaan’.
Mahant Paramhans Acharya of Tapasvi Chhavni said the saffron color had been insulted in the ‘Besharam Rang’ song of the Deepika Padukone starrer movie.
“People of our Sanatan Dharma are protesting continuously regarding this. Today we have burnt the poster of Shah Rukh Khan. If I get to meet the film Jihadi Shah Rukh Khan, I will burn him alive,” the seer from Ayodhya was quoted by IANS as saying.
Mahant Paramhans Acharya asked people to boycott Pathaan and threatened that he would dfire the theatres that dared to release the film.
Mahant Raju Das, the priest of Hanuman Garhi, has also raised his voice in the upcoming film Pathaan.
Several BJP leaders and right-wing Hindu organizations have protested against the saffron-colored bikini of Deepika Padukone in the movie Pathaan.
Raising strong objections to actor Deepika Padukone’s costume in the ‘Besharam’ song of the film Pathaan, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has said if certain scenes are not “corrected,” the state government will consider what to do about its screening.
Mishra also alleged that Padukone had supported the “Tukde Tukde gang.”
The MP Home minister said the costumes seen in the ‘Besharam’ song are “highly objectionable,” and it is visible that this song was filmed out of a “contaminated mentality.”
“I would request to correct the scenes and her (Padukone’s) costumes (in the song), otherwise whether this film should be allowed in Madhya Pradesh or not will be a question to be considered,” Mishra had said.
