Anybody and everybody who has ever used a computer that has been running on Windows might have used Internet Explorer. This browser was released quite some time ago by Microsoft. With the release of Windows 10, there may be a choice – Spartan.

It has been said that Microsoft is planning to release Windows 10, not with its usual browser, the “Internet Explorer”. It is said to come equipped with a whole new browser code which has been named Spartan.

The Spartan has been designed to answer the competition that Internet Explorer faces from the likes of Chrome by Google and Firefox by Mozilla. The Spartan is designed to feel like them as well. Although this is yet to be officially verified, it is being said that Microsoft is planning to keep the foundation of Spartan similar to that of Internet Explorer.

If this news is anything to go by then, it does come as a shock. Microsoft launched the Internet Explorer way back in 1995, and it has been iterated about 11 times. Even while its competitors stepped into the market to provide better browsers, Microsoft stuck to Internet Explorer.

Microsoft may have finally bowed down to the immense pressure it was being put under as the Internet Explorer was garnering some unnecessary negative connotations on its older versions. With the advent of Spartan, Microsoft might just have a chance to open up the paths for several other platforms.

What will become of this new browser remains to be seen, but t sure has managed to grab enough interest.
