By the third quarter of 2022, most states will have distributed their inflation relief stimulus payments, but some will continue into the following year.
Although these payments are smaller than the government stimulus checks for pandemic relief issued in 2020 and 2021, they may still be a crucial source of additional assistance for people and families struggling to cope with record inflation rates and other economic hardships.
4th Quarter Stimulus Checks
Most states have already distributed their one-time stimulus payouts to citizens as the year ends. However, only a small number of them will have finished by the fourth quarter of 2022, but other states will continue to make payments into 2023 since they timed their prices to coincide with the holiday season.
This is anticipated to be especially beneficial for eligible consumers with additional expenses throughout the holiday and festive season.
California Governor Gavin Newsom started the most significant state stimulus payments. This year, Golden State Middle-Class Tax Refund recipients will receive prices ranging from $200 to $1,050.
We got one of the California Middle Class Tax Refund cards in the mail. I was seconds away from throwing it out thinking it was a scam before looking it up.
So if you do get a card, it’s a real thing.

The adjusted gross earnings of single and joint filers who submitted their federal tax returns for 2020 before October 15, 2021, is one factor that determines how much is paid out. Additionally, for their 2020 state tax return, they cannot have an adjusted gross income higher than $250,000 for single filers and twice that amount for married people joint filers.
Californians Receiving Payouts
Recipients must also have lived in the Golden State for at least six months during the calculation year, which is 2020 and cannot be declared as dependent on another filer’s income tax return for 2020.
Numerous Californians have already received payouts, with 23 million of the state’s 40 million citizens eligible for the middle-class tax credit. Many payments, however, are still being processed.
Thank you @GavinNewsom received by California Middle Class Tax Refund.
As a taxpayer (but non-citizen) I feel valued and appreciated. My respect to the Great State of California has further increased.

For example, residents who have not yet gotten their Golden State Stimulus debit cards or are waiting in line to acquire one for their California Stimulus payments should anticipate receiving their amount by the end of December this year.
The US postal service may need an additional two weeks to deliver the funds to them. The payments are anticipated to be made through debit cards between December 17 of this year and January 14 of 2023, so residents who are expecting their stimulus cheques through a debit card for their tax refund because they changed their bank account after submitting their 2020 state income tax returns should expect a delay reports DMN.
