The Chinese company which makes handsets, Xiaomi, has partnered itself with Bharti Airtel. Xiaomi will be providing its 4G mobile named Redmi Note in 133 stores owned by the partner company.
Soon the handsets will be available in stores across Delhi, NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Chennai.
The mobile phone has been reasonably priced at Rs. 9999. It was very recently found at the same price on Flipkart during its flash sale on December 30, 2014.
The 4G service is expected to be provided in 16 cities by the operator. Check out the Airtel 4G tariff here.
Bharti Airtel has gone ahead to say that the device can be booked online. They can also choose the date for purchasing and also the store they want to get it from as per their convenience.
The company is also planning to dedicate one day of the week as “Mi Day” where the customers will be able to buy the device without any pre booking hassle.
However, customers who have a prepaid connection or do not have an Airtel connection at all should first go for Airtel’s myPlan when they buy the Redmi Note 4G. If customers already have a minimum of 500 MB 3G pack then they can easily move on to the Redmi Note.
People who do purchase this device will also be given a 4G SIM. The consumers who already have 3G will be able to enjoy 4G speeds on the Redmi Note handset without having to activate any special plans.
In cities where the 4G services aren’t available, the customers will have to wait until the services become available post which their 3G connection will automatically be updated to 4G.
