Vergara has managed to stay fit by sticking to lean proteins like fish and chicken instead of indulging in carbs like pizza. But she is known to enjoy her sweets now and then, as she often features cakes served during her parties in images shared on Instagram.

The star works out consistently, too, often in her home gym. She prefers exercise equipment like treadmills and stair climbers but has also been seen working out with free weights.

The star has shared in the past that she suffers from hypothyroidism.

In February, she reflected on her past battle with cancer. The actress was diagnosed with thyroid cancer at 28 after doctors discovered a lump in her neck during a routine checkup.

‘At 28, Cancer was not a word I expected to hear,’ began Vergara, who included a photo of herself after receiving treatment.

She continued: ‘It was just a routine checkup. But the doctors found a lump in my throat, and that word became part of my story.

‘I spent countless hours in radiation treatments and, eventually, surgery. Today, I get to call myself a cancer survivor.

Vergara spoke about her battle with thyroid cancer during a last year’s telecast for Stand Up to Cancer.

‘When you’re young, and you hear that word, ‘cancer,’ your mind goes to so many places,’ Vergara said. ‘But I tried not to panic and decided to get educated. I read every book and found out everything I could about it.’

She said that early detection helped her overcome the disease, and her battle helped her grow closer to her family.

‘I was fortunate to have caught it early and to have the support of my doctors and, most importantly, my family,’ she said. ‘I learned a lot during that time, not just about thyroid cancer, but also that in times of crisis, we’re better together.’

On Wednesday, she was seen in a sizzling bikini selfie shared via her Instagram.

The Fading Gigolo star showed off her incredible figure in a black two-piece that put her ample cleavage and taut tummy front and center. The LA resident also posted a shirtless photo of her handsome.

Sofia took to social media on Tuesday to wish her husband Joe an early happy birthday. She posted a selfie on her Instagram Stories that showed Joe in the background. ‘It’s almost ur bday @joemanganiello,’ Sofia wrote as a caption for her roughly 27.5 million followers. She also shared a selfie on a porch swing with the caption ‘home sweet home.’

They married at the Breakers Resort in Palm Beach, Florida, at an event attended by 350 guests, including the casts of Modern Family and True Blood, according to People.

The couple has no children together, but Vergara has a son Manolo, 31, with ex-husband Joe Gonzalez.
