Actress Deepika Padukone says that she wants to work with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. The actress has revealed that she also had an acting debut offer from Salman Khan, way before Farah Khan’s offer for “Om Shanti Om” opposite Shah Rukh Khan. However the actress had declined the offer then since she felt herself too young and not yet ready to face the camera.
In an interview with DNA, Deepika says she is grateful that Salman had offered her a film and thinks there is something special waiting when both will come together on screen.
Deepika will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Ram Leela” opposite Ranveer Singh, superstar Rajnikanth’s movie “Kochadaiyaan” and Farah Khan’s “Happy New Year” opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
The 27-year-old leggy lass worked for three days with superstar Rajnikanth and felt inspired seeing him working enthusiastically.
On Sanjay Bhansali’s “Ram Leela”, the actress is happy to be a part of the film and feels equally nervous and excited. She says that it was an emotionally and physically demanding film. She appreciates Sanjay’s different take on Shakespeare’s love saga ‘Romeo and Juliet’.
Deepika is the only actress in the Indian film industry to have acted in films that have earned Rs 500 crores in one year. Her recent two movies, “Chennai Express” and “Eh Jawani hai Deewani” earned more than Rs 700 crores. “Chennai Express” alone has earned a record-breaking Rs 410 crores at the worldwide box office.
