After months of anxious wait, Shankar’s mega-budget Tamil movie ‘I’ will finally hit the theaters on January 14, 2015.
The film which has been shot for more than three years has none other than Chiyaan Vikram in the lead role. Amy Jackson is doing the role of heroine in this film. Malayalam Super Star Suresh Gopi, Upen Patel, and Santhanam also play pivotal roles.
The film showcases Vikram in four get-ups; a bodybuilder, a model, a hunchback, and a werewolf. ‘I’ is basically a romantic film blended with adequate doses of mystery and action.

Vikram, the lead actor has shed more than half of his body weight for the perfection of the characters. As per the actor, it was the hunchback’s role that literally tested his patience and skills. The actor spent more than 12 hours for makeup for this role, and this continued for many months.
Another surprise package in this movie is the character enacted by Suresh Gopi. The Action King in the Malayalam film industry is doing a pivotal role in this film, and one of his deeds acts as a turning point that determines the fate of the lead character.

One of the main highlights of ‘I’ is the music composed by A R Rahman. All the songs are peppy, and it will surely take the audience to a new world of entertainment.
The film is made with a budget of 180 crore INR. But when we consider the number of releasing centres, the film will easily collect more than 250 crore INR within a week.

Many film pandits predict that this Shankar movie will break all the collection records which prevail in the Indian Film Industry, and it includes the recent 600 crore gross created by PK.
