‘Phata Poster Nikhla Hero’ box-office collection report and review

Shahid Kapoor and Ileana D’Cruz starrer Hindi movie “Phata Poster Nikhla Hero” will be released in India and across the world on Friday, September, 19, 2013.

The action comedy movie was produced by Ramesh Taurani and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. After a very long time, yesteryear Bollywood actress Padmini Kolhapure will feature in this film.

Santoshi has big films in his kitty like “Ghayal” starring Sunny Deol, “Andaz Apna Apna” starring Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, “Khakee” starring Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Akshay Kumar and “Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani” with Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif.

The songs of the movie are already a hit with the teenagers. The songs of the movie are being featured regularly in the music charts everyday.

The movie is expected to well at the box-office with 50-60 % occupancy in multiplexes and single screens. According to trade analysts, the movie is expected to earn Rs 8-10 crore on 1st day and the revenue to increase on 2nd day at the Indian box-office.

But unfortunately the 1st day revenue was a meagre Rs six crore and 2nd days was Rs seven crores making it a total of Rs 13 crore in two days.

Sunday, 3rd day collections was Rs 8.25 crores and Monday’s collections was Rs. 3.15 crores, making it a total of Rs. 24.40 crores.

Later in the weekend, the movie is expected to do even better after the good word of mouth.

After two flop movies, Shahid Kapoor is back with yet another action comedy, but this time with a renowned filmmaker.

“Phata Poster Nikhla Hero” is expected to revive the declining career of Shahid Kapoor. It must be embarrassing for him after a couple A list heroines in the Indian film industry refused to work with him.

Another movie which will release on the same day is Irrfan Khan’s widely acclaimed and appreciated “Lunch Box”
