With a $4 million fund given to the city of New Haven by the US Department of Health & Human Services Office of Minority Health, residents of Connecticut may be eligible to receive gasoline assistance ranging from $250 to $600.
The stimulus check assistance is available to anyone living in a home with someone who pays the heating bill and receives SNAP, SSI, or TANF services. Also, a person’s yearly household income must be less than 60% of the median income in the state.
How To Submit A Stimulus Application
The Farm & Food Workers Relief program is open to farmers, meatpackers, and grocery store employees. Anybody who worked lawfully from January 2020 to the end of December 2022 was urged to apply for the stimulus program, provided they were employed in agriculture.
Over 2,000 farm employees in Yuma County, Arizona, qualified for the payout. Comite de Bienestar is a non-profit organization that assists Mexican-American immigrants and farmers with financial challenges. Arizona residents can contact them. The USDA website has contact information for the relief program for people in other states.
Seniors Campaign For New Stimulus Payment
The Senior Citizens League, a nonpartisan lobbying organization, is working to have a one-time stimulus payment of $1400 approved for those eligible for Social Security. In a message to Congress the previous year, the group stated that the cost-of-living increase and inflation will severely impact many older Americans on fixed incomes.
For many, the hefty cost of living adjustment only made their financial problems worse by raising their income above the thresholds required to be eligible for Medicare savings programs and additional aid.
Rhode Island Residents May Receive $2,500
In Rhode Island, a state program offers around $2,500 towards the purchase of an electric vehicle. For a new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, residents are eligible for up to $2,500, $1,500 for a used one, $1,500 for a new electric vehicle, & $750 for a used hybrid.
The program began in July & has already distributed locals $1.25 million. In November, 38 electric cars were sold, and more than $89,000 in incentives were given out, reports Sun.
