Stimulus Update 2023: Payments For One-Time Relief Will Be Made This Month

The Senior Citizens League, a nonpartisan lobbying organization, is working to get a single-time $1,400 amount of stimulus check confirmed for people who qualify for Social Security. In a message to Congress the previous year, the group stated that many older Americans who are on fixed incomes will be severely impacted by the cost-of-living increase and inflation. Shannon Benton from the Senior Citizens League previously told The US Sun, “We have received hundreds of emails from people concerned about making ends meet: “The high COLA, for many, just aggravated their fiscal woes by pushing their income above program limits to qualify for Medicare savings programs and additional help.”

Florida Launches Stimulus Checks

This year, Florida households may be eligible for over $500 in cash in addition to $2 billion in tax assistance. A plan that will grant over a million drivers a toll credit will become law when Governor Ron DeSantis approved it in December 2022. The law states that it will provide each month a 50% credit to the “account” of qualifying state citizens. The Governor’s office projects that the direct cash will be worth, on average, more than $480 through 2023. Drivers should have toll accounts with the state that are in good standing and their cars must be two axles.

Texas Assists Locals In Paying Their Power Costs

As per a press statement, a program upgrade will also enable members to receive future payments of up to $2,400.
