Salman Khan, one of Bollywood’s most popular and successful actors, has been receiving threats from gangsters for a long time. Recently, he received another threat email from two notorious criminals accused of killing a Punjabi singer.
The email was sent by someone named Rohit Garg, who claimed to be associated with Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar. Bishnoi and Brar are currently lodged in Bathinda jail and face charges for murdering Sidhu Moosewala, a famous Punjabi singer.
The email was written in Hindi and said that Goldy Bhai wanted to talk with Salman Khan face to face to close the matter. It also warned him that if he did not do so, he would see something shocking next time.
The email was received by Prashant Gunjalkar, who runs an artist management company and frequently visits Salman Khan’s office in Galaxy Apartment. He lodged a complaint with Bandra Police on Saturday and an FIR was registered against Rohit Garg, Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar under sections 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 506-II (criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code.
This is not the first time that gangsters have threatened Salman Khan. In June 2022, he received a handwritten note at his residence from an unidentified person who claimed to be a fan of Lawrence Bishnoi. The note said that Bishnoi would kill him if he ever came to Rajasthan.
Bishnoi is known to have a grudge against Salman Khan for his involvement in the blackbuck poaching case. He belongs to the Bishnoi community, which worships nature and animals. He had reportedly vowed to kill Salman Khan in 2018 when he was arrested by Haryana Police.
Salman Khan has been provided with extra security by Mumbai Police after these incidents. He has also been advised to avoid travelling to Rajasthan or Punjab where these gangsters have their network.
