Bard is Google’s answer to ChatGPT, the popular conversational AI program from OpenAI. Bard is a generative AI chatbot that can produce text responses based on your prompts.
You can ask anything you want, from trivia questions to creative ideas, and it will try to give you an interesting and relevant answer.
Bard is still an experiment, and Google has just opened limited access to it for users in the US and UK. You can sign up for a waitlist at bard.google.com and try it out yourself.

Here are some of the things to know chatting with Bard:
– Bard is fast and responsive. Unlike ChatGPT, which types out its answers word by word, Bard generates blocks of text in an instant. You don’t have to wait for it to finish typing before you can read its response.
– Bard gives you options. Sometimes Bard will produce more than one answer for your prompt, and let you choose which one you like best. This is helpful if you want to see different perspectives or drafts on a topic.
– Bard is not perfect. Google warns that Bard may not always be accurate or appropriate in its responses. It may reflect biases or stereotypes or provide false information. It may also go off-topic or misunderstand your prompt. Bard is based on a large language model that predicts words based on past data, without verifying facts or context.
– Bard is learning from feedback. Google says it uses human feedback to improve Bard’s system and make it more helpful and on topic. You can give thumbs up or thumbs down ratings to Bard’s responses, as well as report any issues or concerns you have with them.
– Bard works well with Google Search. If you want more information on something Bard says, you can click on a “Google it” button that will open a new tab with related search results.

I just tried Google's Bard.
If I were Sam Altman or Satya Nadella, I would be feeling VERY concerned right now. pic.twitter.com/myz4QQYq9e
