The movie Roy, which released on Friday the 13th, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandes and directed by Vikramjit Singh failed to impress at the box office.
Ranbir Kapoor plays Roy who comes across as a very ambitious person. It went along well with the background score but failed to impress the viewers since the movie, as a whole, tends to get confusing.
Initially the movie was said to be a heist film and later was said to be a romantic movie as well. Roy is definitely not a heist film. Kabir Grewal played by Arjun Rampal is portrayed as a Casanova who is inspired by Aayesha Aamir, played by Jacqueline Fernandes.
Kabir while writing Roy has somehow managed to overlap too many things which get confusing to the viewer. Towards the end of the movie, Kabir is asked by Aayesha if he is Kabir or Roy which pretty much sums up the confusion as it remains unclear right up to the end as to who exactly is Roy.
At this morning's showing of ROY, 42% of the audience left before the end. My review of the boring new Hindi movie: http://t.co/U6LQ6b1uZk

Arjun and Ranbir both have portrayed their characters very well. Rajit Kapur and Anupam Kher, have play important roles in the movie and their acting is excellent. Jacqueline does add a little something to the movie.
The movie does boast of some breathtaking scenes from all across the world. Shot mostly in Malaysia, it has several beautiful beach sequences.
This 147 minute long film is a complete drag and it does not manage to grab audience’s attention.
