Realme finally launched its latest budget smartphone, the Realme C55, in India on March 22, 2023. The phone has a sleek design, a 64-megapixel dual camera setup, and a unique feature called the ‘mini capsule’.

Specs
The Realme C55 sports a 6.72-inch IPS LCD with a 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display also has a peak brightness of 680 units and an 86.7% screen-to-body ratio.
The MediaTek Helio G88 chipset powers the phone with an octa-core CPU and a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU.
The phone has two variants: 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. Both variants support microSD cards up to 1TB.
The Realme C55 packs a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging via USB Type-C port. The company claims that the phone can charge up to 50% in just 29 minutes.
The phone also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Pricing
The Realme C55 has been priced at Rs.10,999 for the base variant with 6GB RAM +128GB storage and Rs.13,999 for the higher variant with GB RAM +256GB storage.
The phone will be available in two color options: Sun Shower and Rainy Night. The first phone sale will start on March 25 on Flipkart.com and realme.com.
Features
One of the most interesting features of the Realme C55 is the ‘mini capsule’ that pops up on the screen when you plug in the charger.
The mini capsule is similar to Apple’s dynamic island feature, which shows different widgets depending on your usage patterns and preferences.
You can swipe through widgets such as weather, calendar, music player, and more on the mini capsule.
Another highlight of the Realme C55 is its camera performance. The phone boasts a dual rear camera setup that consists of a 64-megapixel primary sensor with PDAF and a 2-megapixel depth sensor for portrait shots.
The rear camera can record videos at up to 1080p resolution at 30 or 60 frames per second. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera that also supports HDR and panorama modes.
