Reese Witherspoon And Jim Toth Announce Divorce Days Before Their 12th Wedding Anniversary

On Friday, March 24, Hollywood star Reese Witherspoon and her husband announced their separation after almost 12 years of marriage.

In a joint statement released on Instagram by Witherspoon and her husband, they said they have decided to divorce after a great deal of consideration.

As per The Telegraph reports, the announcement comes only a few days before their 12th wedding anniversary on Sunday.

Witherspoon and Toth, 52, announced their engagement in December 2010 and married in March 2011. Tennessee James, their 10-year-old son, is the couple’s only child.

Witherspoon has two children, a son named Deacon, 19, and a daughter named Ava, 23, from her former marriage to actor Ryan Phillippe.

In their post, the couple further sought privacy in these trying times of the family and hoped people understood that their top priority now would be their ten-year-old son.

But the marriage ended in divorce on June 13, 2008. Phillippe and Witherspoon have shared custody of their children. 

Later Reese was rumored to be dating Jim Toth, a talent agent and co-head of motion picture talent at Creative Artists Agency, where she is a client, in February 2010.
