The ICC World Cup Cricket 2015 might have overshadowed the IPL player auctions, but it has not affected the team owners in spending money over players for the upcoming season.
The auctions are going on steadily in Bangalore, and it is touted to be of great significance for teams like Delhi Daredevils and Sunrisers Hyderabad who dismantled more than half of their last year’s lineup.
The star in the current IPL auctions is none other than Indian all rounder Yuvraj Singh who failed to procure a spot in the Indian World Cup squad.

The 33 year old star was bought by Delhi Daredevils for a whooping 16 crore INR. As per reports, a bidding war between Bangalore Royal Challengers and Delhi Daredevils resulted in the sky rocketing price rise of Yuvraj.
Delhi Daredevils also poured a whooping 7.50 crore INR for Angelo Mathews.
Dinesh Karthik, the elegant batsman cum wicket keeper will play for Bangalore Royal Challengers this time. He will be paid a mind blowing 10.50 crore INR for this season.
Now, the whole IPL fans are looking forward for the auction of Kevin Pieterson who is considered as a top name in International Cricket. Many of his fans believe that he will walk out with a more mighty sum than Yuvraj Singh during the auction.
Another noted call which happened on this Monday morning was regarding Darren Sammy’s bid. Royal Challengers Bangalore bought the West Indian all rounder for 2.80 crore INR.
Big names like Hashim Amla, Brad Hodge and Ross Taylor went unsold in this first phase of auctions.
