On March 27th, we celebrate World Theatre Day, a global event that honors the art of theatre and its contribution to society. Theatre is a powerful medium that can inspire, educate, entertain and challenge us. It can also foster dialogue, empathy and solidarity among people of different cultures, backgrounds and perspectives.
World Theatre Day was initiated in 1961 by the International Theatre Institute (ITI), a UNESCO partner organization that promotes international cooperation and exchange in the field of theatre.
Every year, ITI invites a prominent theatre figure to write a message for World Theatre Day, which is then translated into more than 50 languages and shared worldwide.
The word theatre comes from the Greeks. #Theatre is the place people come to see the truth about life and the social situation.#RamCinemas wishes Happy #TheatreDay 📽️ to all the Exhibitors and our Patrons.#WorldTheatreDay 📽️ pic.twitter.com/LPgUvzDCpe
