Joaquin Phoenix is known for his dedication to his roles, but sometimes it can take a toll on his health.
The Oscar-winning actor reportedly fainted on the set of his upcoming film ‘Beau Is Afraid’, a horror drama directed by Ari Aster.
According to a source, Phoenix was filming an intense scene where he had to scream and cry for several minutes. He became so exhausted that he collapsed and had to be carried off by the crew. “He was pushing himself to the limit and everyone knew it was bad,” the source said.
“He was pale and sweaty and looked like he was about to pass out.” Phoenix was given some water and oxygen and recovered quickly. He resumed filming the next day and apologized to everyone for the scare.
‘Beau Is Afraid’ is expected to be released in 2024 and will follow Phoenix as a man who travels to his estranged mother’s funeral and discovers terrifying secrets about his past.
