NTR Jr Joins Hrithik Roshan in ‘War 2’: A Spy Adventure of Epic Proportions

One of the most anticipated films of 2023 is ‘War 2’, the sequel to the blockbuster action thriller ‘War’ that starred Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. The film, directed by Siddharth Anand, will see Hrithik reprise his role as Kabir, a rogue spy hunted down by his former protégé Khalid (Tiger).

A New Rival for Kabir

But this time, Kabir will have a new rival to contend with. According to Variety, the makers of ‘War 2’ have roped in Telugu superstar NTR Jr to play the main antagonist in the film. NTR Jr is currently riding high on the success of his magnum opus ‘RRR’, directed by SS Rajamouli, where he plays Komaram Bheem, a tribal leader who fought against the British.

A Crossover of Spy Universes

‘War 2’ will also mark a crossover of spy universes featuring characters from other popular espionage films.

Apart from Hrithik and NTR Jr, the film will also star Akshay Kumar as Ajay Singh Rajput from ‘Baby’ and ‘Naam Shabana,’ John Abraham as ACP Yashvardhan from ‘Force’ and ‘Force 2’, and Vidyut Jammwal as Karanveer Singh Dogra from ‘Commando’ series.

The film will also have cameo appearances by Salman Khan as Tiger from ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, and Shah Rukh Khan as Gaurav from ‘Fan’.

A Spectacular Showdown

The film will reportedly have a spectacular showdown between Kabir and NTR Jr’s character, who is said to be a mastermind behind a global conspiracy.  The film will also showcase some high-octane action sequences and exotic locations worldwide. The film is expected to release in Diwali 2023.
