The National Basketball Association (NBA) has announced a new partnership with BIGHIT MUSIC, the label behind global pop sensation BTS, and named BTS member SUGA as an NBA Ambassador.
As an NBA Ambassador, SUGA will participate in various activities to connect with NBA fans across the globe, such as attending NBA games and events in the U.S. and Asia and joining the league’s promotional campaigns.
SUGA will also collaborate with the NBA on some of his upcoming concerts for his debut solo album, D-DAY, which is set to be released on April 21.

SUGA’s passion for basketball
SUGA is no stranger to basketball, as he has been a sport fan since he was young. He has often expressed his love for basketball in his music and videos, such as in BTS’ hit song “Dynamite”, which featured him shooting hoops on a basketball court. He has also met several NBA players and legends, such as Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks and Magic Johnson of the Los Angeles Lakers.
“Music and basketball have been shared passions of mine since my youth, and it’s a dream to be named an NBA Ambassador,” SUGA said in a press release. “I’m excited to formalize my relationship with the NBA, and I can’t wait to share some exciting collaborations I have planned with the league over the coming months.”
