Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford have broken up after less than a year of dating. A representative for Eilish confirmed the news on Wednesday.
“We can confirm Billie and Jesse did split amicably and remain good friends,” the representative said in a statement. “All cheating rumors are false. Both are currently single.”
Eilish and Rutherford were first linked in October 2022 when they were seen kissing at a Los Angeles restaurant. They made their red carpet debut as a couple in November at the LACMA Art+Film Gala.
The pair had a 10-year age difference, with Eilish being 21 and Rutherford 31. However, they seemed very happy together and often posted photos of each other on social media.
It is unclear what led to the breakup, but it is possible that the pair grew apart. Eilish is currently in the midst of her Happier Than Ever World Tour, while Rutherford is busy with The Neighbourhood’s upcoming album.
Despite the breakup, Eilish and Rutherford said they will remain friends. “We still love and respect each other,” Eilish said in a statement. “We just need some time apart.”
