California citizens who qualify may still apply for a direct payout of $4,000, which will be made available for beneficiaries to use any way they see fit. The stimulus payment is a component of the Recovery Action Fund for Tomorrow program run by Jewish Family Service, a charitable organization. The non-profit says that registrations for this payout went live on May 8 and are due by May 21 at 11:59 p.m.
Stimulus Payments Will Only Be Made To San Diego Residents
The payments will only be made to San Diego residents who match the eligibility criteria, which include having at least one kid who is below the age group of 18, being at least 55 years old, or having a disability as an adult. Applicants must also have household incomes that are at or less than 200% of the national poverty level, which has been kept at $29,160 for households of one and $60,000 for households of four.
Furthermore, applicants must reside in one of the Health Equity ZIP codes of 39 San Diego County, each of which is listed here. The recipients of this payment will be chosen through a lottery method, and there will be two waves of payments—the first in June as well as the second in August—issued. The funds will be dispersed in the way of a prepaid debit card that can be obtained in person or by mail at specific places.
Online Application Assistance Being Provided
Online application assistance is provided, and in-person assistance is also available at several places, such as the Price Family YMCA and the Central Library of San Diego. This program is one of many income-related initiatives currently running in California state. On Wednesday, 305 households in Sonoma County will receive payouts of $500 under a different program called the Route to Income Equity trial program reports Washingtonexaminer.
