Tamil romantic comedy movie “Raja Rani” starring Arya and Nayantara was released in India and across the world on Friday, Sept 27, 2013.
The movie is debutant venture for directed Atlee Kumar, who was an assistant director for Rajinikanth’s “Enthiran” co-starring Aishwarya Rai. The movie was produced by A.R Murugadoss alon with Fox Star Studios.
The movie also features Jai, Sathyaraj, Santhanam and Nazriya Nazim in the lead roles. The songs of the movie are already a hit.

The ratings of the movie have also come good. Behindwoods website gave the movie a rating of 3.5 out of 5 stars, and described, “G.V strikes with lively & cheerful melodies. A very pleasant album !”

Friday 1st day breakup: Tamil Nadu – Rs 3.20 crores, Kerala – Rs. 25 lakhs, Karnataka – Rs. 25 lakhs. Total: Rs. 3.70 cr. Excellent!
Saturday, 2nd day biz: Tamil Nadu – Rs 3.50 cr, Kerala – Rs 20 lacs, Karnataka – Rs 30 lacs. Total: Rs 4 crores. Word of mouth is strong!
The movie completed 50 days on Friday. Amassed more than Rs 50 crores worldwide and still running strong.
