Former foster children in Los Angeles County will shortly be able to apply for a guaranteed income program that will provide applicants with $1,000 monthly stimulus payments for two years. 200 candidates will be chosen for the Breathe program, which will provide these rewards for two years, to them. Evaluation Of Success Of Stimulus Program
To evaluate the success of this project, the University of Pennsylvania and additional regional and international research partners will perform a randomized control study. While participation in the research project is not essential to earn the $1,000 payments every month, individuals who do will be rewarded with a $30 gift card for each survey they complete and will be contacted regularly with questions about various aspects of their general health and wellbeing. Similarly to that, 2,000 individuals were also picked at random to take part in the study’s findings study as the “control group.” Instead of receiving $1,000 payouts every month, this group will be required to participate in sporadic surveys and interviews. For each survey they complete, they are going to get a $30 gift card.
Eligibility For Stimulus Checks
The program chose 1,000 recipients last year who will each receive $1,000 per month for three years, and it is now adding 200 more recipients who will each get the same amount per month for a total of two years. The first 1,000 beneficiaries were chosen at random from a group of qualified applicants. A candidate must be a minimum of 21 years old and not turn 24 before September 1, 2023, to be qualified for the latest application window. Additionally, candidates must be former foster adolescents who were in care on or after their 18th birthday, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Families.
