The three enormous federal stimulus payments made news in 2020 and 2021, but many states also participated in 2022 and 2023. Unfortunately, most of the filing deadlines have long since passed and the majority of the funds have already been distributed. However, still there are a few states that have either just passed new stimulus legislation or haven’t given out all of the funding they initially allocated. Here is a list of those states.
Stimulus Payments For Idaho
Tax refunds and “Special Session Rebates” were given out by Idaho in March as well as September of 2022. For residents who timely filed their tax forms, those payments have already been made. However, rebates are still being processed up until the summer of 2023 for individuals who requested extensions or filed later.
Illinois
The deadline to submit a claim for the Income Tax Rebate of Illinois and/or Property Tax Rebate was October 17, 2022. The majority of such payments are already in place. However, according to the state comptroller, payments will remain until all have been made.
Maine
The deadline to submit a state rebate application has already passed, as is typical for most states. Residents had until October 31, 2022, to submit a claim for the Winter Energy Relief Payment of Maine. Payments started in January 2023 and were essentially finished by June 2023. You still have time until 30th June to get in touch with the State Tax Assessor to show your eligibility if you should have gotten a payment but didn’t. A rebate is available to those who are accepted up to September 30, 2023.
New Mexico
In 2023, New Mexico will provide people with two different sorts of rebates: one for those who must file taxes and another for those who are exempt from doing so. For joint filers, the income tax reimbursement is $1,000; for single claimers and married individuals filing separately, the rebate is $500. Mid-June 2023 will see the distribution of such rebates. The sum will be distributed in July to people who are not necessary to register for an income tax return reports Gobankingrates.
